Most of us don’t stop to think that our cars may make us vulnerable to break-ins but, in fact, cars are incredibly easy to break in to for a skilled thief. There are some things we can do as vehicle owners to help prevent break ins (or at least make it more difficult to do). Take a quick look at this video in which the police officer lays it out nicely.
His tips are as follows:
1) close all windows and lock your vehicle
2) place valuables in the trunk prior to arriving
3) conceal all valuables
4) park for visibility in a well-lit and highly-frequented area
5) keep your vehicle neat
Do you have any other tips that could be helpful to our readers? I never really think about the threats to my car so long as it is locked but now I think I’ll be more careful about what I leave in the car.
